Lord, You open the gate for Your loved ones, we are Your sheep. We listen to Your voice. You call us by name and lead us out. When You have brought out all Your own, You go ahead and we follow You because we know Your voice. We will never follow a stranger; in fact, we will run away because we do not recognize his voice.
You are the gate and whoever enters through You will be saved. We will come in and go out, and find pasture. You have come to give us not only life, but abundant life.
Jesus, You are the Good Shepherd, You know Your sheep, and we know You -just as the Father knows You and You know the Father- You lay down Your life for Your beloved. You love sheep that are not of Your fold also, the lost, the ones who do not know You yet, and You bring them in too. They likewise listen to Your voice; there will be one flock and one Shepherd.
We listen to Your voice Lord, You know us, and we follow. You give eternal life, and we will never perish; no one will ever snatch us from Your hand Lord. Your Father, who has given us to You, is greater than all; no one can snatch us out of the Father’s hand, and You and the Father are one.
